Cecilia Music Game

La semana pasada se desarrolló PyWeek 7. Este año participé con una entrada solo (se puede participar solo o en equipo) e hice un pequeño juego en las 10 horas que tuve para dedicarle a la competencia: Cecilia Music Game. Un juego en el que escuchamos una canción y luego tenemos que intentar reproducir eligiendo cuerdas de distinto largo (el tema de la competencia era “The length of a piece of string“).

    You might need to install some of these before running the game:

    Python: http://www.python.org/
    PyGame: http://www.pygame.org/

    RUNNING THE GAME:

    On Windows or Mac OS X, locate the “run_game.pyw” file and double-click it.

    Othewise open a terminal / console and “cd” to the game directory and run:

    python run_game.py

    INTRODUCTION:

    Hi! My name is Juanjo Conti and I am from Argentina. When the challenge started
    I was travelling round Brasil. When I was back I founded that my friends weren’t
    going to get in and I decided to make a solo entry.

    I knew I was going to have a bussy week, so I desided to make a light but funny
    game. I hope you enjoy it.

    HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:

    At the begining of a level you’ll listen a song (ok, some notes).
    Use the 1-6 keys to select the right length pieces of string needed to
    reproduce that song (order is important!).

    Backspace to erase the last piece added.
    Space to listen again the song and P key for pause it.

    COMMENTS

    - Thanks to Ceci, my girlfriend, for the idea of this game.
    - Sorry about the very light implementation, I could spend only 10 hours in this
    game.
    - No guitars were damadged during the production of this game :)
    - All the photos in the game are taken by me.
